Extracurricular classes have long been a preferred way for East Asia's upper class to cultivate cultural capital. French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu described cultural capital as the knowledge, skills, and habits individuals acquire through education, cultural engagement, and personal taste. Unlike economic capital, cultural capital is transferred in a more subtle and complex manner. While it carries higher risks,

it plays a vital role in reinforcing class boundaries. Using rosin as a conceptual starting point, I craft immersive sculptural installations that symbolize the middle-class pursuit of educational investment and reflect on the dynamics of family structures and generational ties in East Asian culture.
